Days after finally becoming a member of the New York Jets, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his first public appearance in NYC.
During Game 6 between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils on Saturday, Rodgers appeared on the jumbotron, causing the crowd at Madison Square Garden to go wild.

The outing at MSG was a team affair as Rodgers was seated next to Jets teammates Allen Lazard and Breece Hall.

Rodgers picked the perfect opportunity to cozy up to the New York faithful. There's no better way to pander to the enthusiastic sports crowd than by attending a Rangers' playoff game against a heated rival.
Saturday was another box checked for Rodgers when it comes to ingratiating himself with the fans in the Big Apple. Rodgers made his first mark earlier this week, impressing during his introductory press conference.
While Rodgers seems motivated to have a big year for the Jets, beyond that, things get shaky. When pressed about his future after the upcoming season, Rodgers said he wasn't planning on being "one-and-done" in New York. However, Rodgers reiterated that his focus right now is on 2023.
Rodgers' wishy-washy answer isn't likely to give Jets fans much hope for a long run with the veteran quarterback. But that could all change relatively quickly, especially if the Jets are successful with Rodgers at the helm.
Time will tell how the marriage ultimately shakes out, but the honeymoon period is off to a decent start so far.
