Red Wings Prospect Report: Sandin Pellikka SHL Champion

Danielson is displaying his touch as a playmaker during the WHL postseason. His stat line is showing three goals and 10 assists through 10 games.

Mathurin Down To Last Life

Red Wings pick Tnias Mathurin (137th, 2022) and the North Bay Battalion are on the brink of elimination from the OHL playoffs following Monday’s 5-2 home-ice loss to the Oshawa Generals. Oshawa is holding a 3-0 stranglehold on the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final.

Mathurin has collected three assists through 12 games and is among the leaders in the OHL playoffs with a plus-11 rating.

New Life For Larsson

Once a top goaltending prospect for the Red Wings, Filip Larsson was a miserable failure in his first stint playing in North America.

He’s staging a career resurrection in his native Sweden with Laksands IF. Larsson has earned a spot with the Swedish national team for the upcoming IIHF world championship. Monday, Lesksands was reporting that he was leaving to sign with an NHL team.

Reports are that team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins were the employers of two former Red Wings goalies this season in Alex Nedeljkovic and Magnus Hellberg.
