Lazio & Napoli Inquire About Ex Real Madrid Midfielder

Lazio and Napoli have reportedly set their sights on Club America midfielder Alvaro Fidalgo. The 27-year-old is a Spanish player who started his career at Real Madrid. He climbed his way up the club’s youth ranks and represented the second team (Real Madrid Castilla).

Fidalgo eventually opted for an unusual career path, leaving his native country in favor of a move to Mexico. He has been plying his trade with Club America since 2021. The Spaniard’s contract with the club is valid until June 2026.

For their part, Lazio could be looking to revamp their midfield department this summer by signing players suited to Igor Tudor’s footballing philosophy. So According to Lazio Space X account, the Biancocelesti have inquired about Fidalgo’s availability.

The source claims that Napoli are also interested in the services of the Real Madrid youth product. Moreover, the report believes Club America will request €10 million to part ways with the Spanish player.

Fidalgo essentially plays as a central midfielder, but can also operate in a more advanced role. He also featured on the left flank in the past. Since joining the Mexican club, he has made 147 appearances across all competitions. The Spaniard scored 11 goals in the process, while providing his teammates with 20 assists.
